A customer bought in his Nissan Navara as it wasn’t quiet working right. Just by hearing the exhaust we immediately knew that there was blow somewhere in the exhaust, so we put the car up on the vehicle ramp and began inspection.
We noticed the blow was coming from the front of the vehicle at the flexi joint, it had broken away slightly which was causing the leak. A big concern for some vehicle owners is if they would need to replace the full exhaust if the front flexi was damaged in some way. We have had customers who have been advised this from other places and we’re not surprised that it puts people off as costs do add up.
The question is, does the full exhaust really need to be replaced if it is blowing at the flexi joint? Well, not if you come to MIJ. We are exhaust specialists and we don’t just do full exhausts but also parts of the exhaust too.
On some vehicles carrying out work at the front of the exhaust can be tricky and takes a lot longer than the rest of the exhaust due to the amount of work involved. Luckily on this Navara it was a straight forward job and we sorted the fix by replacing the flexi pipe section.
